I spent about 30 minutes mowing the main grass strips at the bottom end of the allotment and the central avenue, I would like to do the borders by running the mower at a 45 degree angle but this does interfere with freshly planted plants and also newly dug earth but the mower is too cumbersome and heavy to do this.
If you would be kind enough to do your borders with shears, or use the lighter manual mowers stored in the shed, that would be helpful.
I await a response from the council about getting help. Alas, there are other things on their mind.
